Hasan Irfan Khan

Mr. Hasan Irfan Khan is widely recognized as one of Pakistan’s leading intellectual property lawyers and a trusted adviser to global industry. An Advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, he has practiced corporate, commercial, and IP law since 1993, representing numerous Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies across diverse sectors.

International legal directory Chambers & Partners describes Mr. Khan as “a market leader and a top-tier lawyer in the IP field,” noting his strong presence before the Supreme Court and his “expertise in contentious IP cases.” Clients and peers alike commend him as “a delightful lawyer… both effective and courteous— a safe pair of hands.”

Mr. Khan serves on the Board of Governors of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Pakistan, where he has chaired the Human Resource Committee since 2008 and served on the Executive Committee since 2010. He previously spent more than seven years on the Board of Management of the Punjab Institute of Cardiology.

A respected policy contributor, Mr. Khan is the co-author of the Electronic Transactions Ordinance 2000 and has drafted proposed legislation in public health, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and intellectual property. He has contributed chapters to internationally regarded legal publications and advised multiple government bodies on law and regulation.
He is an active member of INTA, APAA, AIPLA, AIPPI, ECTA, and other leading global IP associations. He also serves on the Patent Advisory Committee of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
